Senior .NET Developer

We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer for a long term contract role based in Brussels.

Mission context              

An agile team consists of a small group of people combining the required skills to design, build and test valuable elements within a limited timeframe.

As a member of the agile team, the DEV engineer applies several useful skills (analysis / design / development / testing / integration), which in combination with the skills of the other members of the team compose all required skills to deliver a product at the end of each sprint.

In the tribe Functions and cluster Business Support & Services, we manage a dozen of .NET web applications, including a framework library used by all .NET applications in the bank.

The cluster also has multiple websites and some knowledge of frontend development (Javascript, React, Angular, Java, PHP) is welcome.

We also use SQL Server  a lot so experience of SSIS or willingness to learn it is a strong plus.

The squad is multifunctional and being able to develop and deploy on systems, as well as provide packaging instructions for the software, are extra skills that will be appreciated.

Function  description    

The DEV Engineer commits to help the team to deliver a product at the end of each sprint, surpassing his/her own specific knowledge domain in order to collaborate with the team members. The focus is on the completion of the sprint backlog, containing all elements that the team must deliver and of which the sequence has been determined by the Product Owner based on the added value for the (internal or external) client.

The DEV Engineer adheres to the scrum values (focused, committed, open, respectful, and courageous) and is able to closely collaborate with the team members. Knowledge sharing, open communication, continuous learning and commitment to deliver added value are key.

English mandatory, and active knowledge of at least one local language + passive knowledge of the other language

Education           

Master or equivalent by experience

Certification     

A certification around .NET or Microsoft development stacks is a nice-to-have

Travel  

No, but don’t forget, we require 50% onsite presence.

Required experience / knowledge          

At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably more.

Technical experience mandatory             

• knowledge of common development languages used in the domain (.NET / ASP.NET / .NET Core)
• Frontend: HTML/CSS/Javascript
• excellent understanding of infrastructure (hardware, OS, networking, databases, middleware(IIS / SQL Server))
• knowledge of methods, standards and security procedures as well as development tools (DevOps Chains / TFS / Gitlab / Jenkins)
  • preferable
• experience with integration using different technologies and infra components
• experience with Windows Server and/or network troubleshooting
• SSIS
• React
• Java

Business experience mandatory

Experience in a large company with strong testing, release and deployment, security & risk management processes preferable knowledge of agile methodology.
