Tasks and Responsibilities of the IT Architect
- Design and support the implementation of the User interfaces to support the new ATM applications;
- Support the development and business teams in selecting and designing the right solution to meet the business objectives – User Domain;
- Support and guide the operations teams in understanding the systems architecture, high-level functionalities and system components;
- Support the testing team in identification of the right testing approach for individual system components;
- Support Environment Management team in setup of the right target platforms for the systems in scope;
- Provide expertise on the overall user interface technologies, engineering best practices, standards, architectural approaches and complex technical resolutions;
- Set up and maintain contacts with business units to understand business activities, drivers, and requirements; consider solution strategies and alternatives for possible implementation, and establish appropriate information system programs;
- Provide architectural leadership in the resolution of inter-program and inter-project issues and advice management, business areas, etc.;
- Develop and coordinate architecture roadmaps and plans;
- Continuously research and assess new analysis approaches for potential use, and provide recommendations and subject matter expertise regarding trends, technology, tools and services;
- Check compliance within the enterprise architecture and reinforce adherence to standards, policies, procedures, etc.;
- Perform any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.
Key Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant architecture experience
- Ideally you will have worked previously on ATM ( Air Traffic Management systems )
- Experience with most recent UI architectural patterns (e.g micro-front-end, Back-end for Front-End, Single-Page Application, Federated Login, Atomic Design,…)
- Experience with architecting UI solutions within a Design System comprising different UI technologies and tools namely:
- React
- WebPack & Module Federation
- ANT
- Playwright
- Lerna
- Chromatic
- Zeroheight
- Storybook JS
- Experience applying UX research & Prototyping methodologies involving end-user
- Experience on User Experience Monitoring approaches and technologies
- Knowledge and hands on experience in the following technologies: RDBMS (Postgres), NoSQL (MongoDB), Confluent Kafka, Openshift would be considered and advantage
- Hands on enterprise management experience including use of standard tools (Enterprise Architect credentials such as TOGAF, Open CA, ArchiMate, etc. would be advantage)
- Desirable: Completed university studies of 4 years (Master’s degree) in a relevant domain (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology)
