Technical Architect
I am seeking a Technical Architect to join my client’s IT Team. You will be contributing to the continued success of this award-winning organisation, an innovative leader in its field. As Technical Architect you should have strong technical skills combined with a strong determination to succeed and a willingness to go the extra mile. This role can be largely remote and so we welcome applications from any UK location.
As Technical Architect you will take the lead on Architect duties (staying current on tech, communicating ideas, thinking big picture) but also work closely with the development team on best practice, establishing healthy team norms and taking the lead on fostering a rich and exciting development community. Your time will typically be spent on the following activities:
Establish and maintain a working architectural knowledge of all client software systems.
Proactively engage with technology providers and community to ensure that the technology platform delivers maximum business value and an exciting and challenging environment for the development team.
Work with the product team to validate planned features and propose new ambitious ideas.
Work with the development team to define, establish and communicate software development best practice, with a focus on quality, accountability, agility and delivery.
Proactively engage with non technical, internal and external teams to improve the client’s technical offering.
Skills and Experience
Must have knowledge of:
Azure, C#, .NET
Microservices and Cloud
Source control (Git, SVN, etc.)
Project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello etc.)
Additionally, you should have
Great written and verbal communication
Problem solving skills
Demonstrable experience of designing technical architecture
Nice to have:
Modern development Practices (Agile, Scrum, Kanban etc.)
DevOps knowledge
Knowledge compliance, regulations and best practices
Cyber Security
Microsoft Bot Framework
Qualification / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline
OR
Equivalent demonstrable experience in a commercial environment.
