DevOps Enterprise Architect

Our client is seeking an experienced DevOps Enterprise Architect for a long term contract assignment or permanent role based in Brussels.

Description

• Support from a technical perspective the related activities of the various projects with a main focus on the area of high level design, IT systems interoperability and systems’ reuse;
• Participate to strategic IT governance supporting interoperability strategy;
• Ensure the overall consistency of IT architecture and follow its design to guarantee that it fulfils a set of requirements, in particular non-functional requirements;
• Supervise the operational processes (related to architecture management) and contribute effectively with the consultant´s competence, experience and skills to ensure timely and excellent delivery of IT architecture services;
• Supervises the analysis of complex technical problems;
• Supervise contractors and other services for release and change management related tasks/activities according to the architecture;
• Produce and/or review documents; follow up document revision with an eye on systems and application’s architecture;
• Provide suggestions for service or methodology improvements; escalate issues, in particular the ones with potential impacts on interoperability;
• Follow up projects to ensure that the systems, components and/or services’ implementation stick to the approved architecture and/or design;
• Identify and anticipates design flaws not overseen by the development or operational teams;
• Support the continuity of the IT operations by supervising the integration of improvements of methodology, security policies, tools, best practices, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree & 13 years of IT experience
• At least 4 years specialized experience in DevOps toolchain (automation, continuous delivery/continuous integration) with complex distributed systems
• At least 4 years specialized experience in Business Analysis
• Specialised experience in the below:

• Propose systems, components and/or services architectures, COTs software products and standards on the basis of the requirements exposed in ISD’s work plan or expressed by the system owners and/or project managers;
• Participate to the drafting or review of proposal for IT architecture governance and organisational evolution, aiming at improving the service delivery and to streamline technical activities;
• Participate to the review, investigate and recommend IT solutions (including cost/benefit analyses, assessment of implementation’s duration); contributes/evaluates technical solutions proposed;
• Support projects by contributing to the design of the systems, their services and components, encouraging re-use and ensuring that the system design fulfils the requirements, in particular IT technical requirements (volume, scalability, confidentiality, Integrity, availability, business continuity and disaster recovery planning);

• English Level B2 or higher is mandatory
